Meet Nancy & Orion

We understand that letting strangers into your home can be nerve-wracking. We’re hoping that our About Us page helps you to to get to know us a little bit and put you at ease.

The name of our business, SISU House Cleaning, is an homage to Nancy’s mother Susan, who passed away in 2015. Nancy’s mom’s side of the family is Finnish and embody Sisu to the fullest. Nancy’s mom was a single mother who worked multiple jobs to get by and had an unrivaled grit. Her work ethic was passed down to Nancy, a Gen X-er with a think outside the box mentality, and believer that hard work and determination have helped her thrive as a small business owner for almost 20 years, during recessions and the pandemic.

Nancy & Orion have been together since 2005 and have owned various businesses throughout the years in Oregon and Colorado including house cleaning, real estate and pet sitting businesses. We are both born entrepreneurs with a love of service.

We live in West Linn with our teen daughter and our dog, Prince. Nancy has a degree in wildlife management from OSU and Orion studied wine and beer making in school. Nancy enjoys cooking, yoga, photography and reading. Orion loves learning about mycology, woodworking and hiking. We are also animal lovers and have a pet sitting business.
